Bio:
Born Russell Tre'van Jones on March 2, 1988 in Cheverly, MD, Russell The Prophasee began pursuing music at the age of 9. He first began recording music at the age of 14. By the age of 17 he had evolved from a rapper to a songwriter. In 2006 while attending Holy Cross College in Indiana he met Killa Kid Kev, Chedda, Zoe, Burna Billz and Producer Hollow Man Ghost. Here he developed a small fan base and began to elevate his skills. After coming back to DC he met Dulley and Yung Bout Dat, and thus began a DMV Dynasty. Now in 2011 he has worked with artist from the DMV, New Jersey, New York, and the Midwest, including Mos Def's brother Anwar. He has written over 100 songs ranging in genre from Rap to Hip-hop, R&B, Rock, Pop, and Gospel. He's worked with several great producers including DJ Khaos from Def Jam/Bad Boy and DC producer King Kai of Optigon Records. He is now under the BlazEmUp Entertainment (BE.U ENT.) indie label. With a strong foundation of faith and a background in both music and theatre, it is only a matter of time before the world recognizes his greatness.
